About Us

Our charter:

The Monterey Beach Club is a New Jersey Corporation (IRS 501(c) 7). It was formed for non-profit operation as a means of promoting and protecting the development known as Monterey Beach, Township of Toms River, Ocean County New Jersey, for the benefit of its members and for no other purposes.

The club operates ocean and bay bathing beaches for its members and guests and promulgates rules and regulations for the use thereof. Its aim is to protect, maintain, and safeguard the rights of its members and to follow such programs as it deems necessary for the benefit of the majority of its membership at all times.

Monterey Beach Club sits 11 miles south of the Manasquan River on the Lenape Peninsula. This is one of several barrier islands, which makes up part of New Jersey's beautiful coastline. With pristine white sandy beaches and clear blue waters, Monterey has become one of the sought after vacation spots in New Jersey.

Established in 1948, Monterey is now home to nearly 250 families. As a vacation location Monterey has bathing on the Atlantic Ocean and a swimming beach on the Barnegat Bay. The bay beach features a raft for diving and a playground for the kids.

Through the years Monterey has become synonymous with relaxation, suntans, surfing, family gatherings, sandlot baseball, beach parties, and just plain old hometown fun.
